Do you recognize the Christ-like impact that you could have as a teacher in Texas?

As part of the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree requirements, all students must complete 6 credit hours of student teaching, giving you real-world experience and a head start in your career.

The population of Texas is on the rise, which means the need for highly qualified teachers is increasing. With a growing Hispanic population, teachers who are bilingual and/or ESL certified are in high demand.

A Quality Teacher Education Program

  • 100% of LeTourneau University students who took the 2012 State Board of Educator Certification test successfully passed the examination.
  • The LeTourneau School of Education accounts for approximately 16% of the total yearly state certifications.
  • In 2014, LETU student Carly Robinson won the Texas Student Teacher of the Year award. He is the fourth LETU student to earn this award.

Accelerated Learning

Our accelerated class format allows you to finish each course in just five weeks. For online students, coursework begins each week on Monday, with most assignments due on Sunday by midnight.

Take your classes online or at our Houston educational center. Benefit from our small class sizes, averaging 16 to 22 students. At LETU, you will receive individual attention!

You can increase your market value and strengthen the prestige of your undergraduate degree by also obtaining a minor from LeTourneau University in Leadership, Management, Project Management or Psychology.
