Vaughan makes commitment to play collegiate baseball at LeTourneau
LONGVIEW
– LeTourneau University baseball coach Robin Harriss announced
Thursday the commitment of Rowlett High School pitcher Hadyn Vaughan.
“Hadyn has a competitive spirit,” Harriss said. “We feel we are
bringing in a young man who exemplifies the right commitment to Christ. He also has a strong
academic background. He plays for a very talented school at Rowlett and we’ll look for him to come
in and make an impact.”
Vaughan, as a senior, went 0-2, but was second on the team with a 1.40
ERA. He pitched in 10 innings with eight strikeouts and a pair of saves.
The YellowJackets, who went 14-22 last season, had three players named
to the All-American Southwest Conference East Division teams and Nick Mihalco was selected the
All-ASC East Division Freshman of the Year.
