LeTourneau 'World Series' Wraps Up Fall Season

LONGVIEW, TEXAS – The YellowJacket Baseball Team concluded the fall season Saturday afternoon with the final game of the three-game ‘World Series’ inter-squad competition. The Shockers won the series with a commanding 7-0 win in the final game over the Bombers.
Both teams pitched well throughout the series for the most part, but in the final game the Shockers staff was able to hold the Bombers at bay while limiting them to only six hits. Freshman Eric Rogers (Smithville, TX) pitched five scoreless innings in route to the win. He struck out four and gave up only four hits. Another freshman, Marshall Kincaid (Sugar Land, TX) picked up the save in long relief going four innings and kept the shutout intact scattering two hits while striking out two. Jeremy Burke was the hard-luck losing pitcher pitching 5 1/3 innings giving up no earned runs.
