LETU Women’s Golf Take 7th at Lady Bulldog Fall Classic

SEQUIN, TEXAS - The LeTourneau University women’s golf team concluded it’s fall season by taking 7th place at the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Tuesday at the Sequin Golf Course. The Jackets shot a team score of 759 while tournament winner Texas at Brownsville shot a 668.

Sophomore Leslie Lee led the way for LeTourneau as she came in 4th place overall with a combined score of 164 (87 - 77). Sophomore Elizabeth Zapata, who improved in round 2 by 14 strokes, tied for 25th overall as she shot a 188 (101 - 87) and freshman Morgan Reed carded a 191 (95 - 96) to tie for 27th overall. Junior Kristen Baskin and senior Brooke Frazier rounded out the team score for the Jackets shooting 221 and 230 respectively.

As a team LeTourneau improved in round 2 by 31 strokes, they will look to build on this as they prepare for their spring season.
