Big second half lifts LETU women’s soccer by Louisiana College
PINEVILLE, La. – The LeTourneau University women’s soccer team took advantage of
three second-half goals in blanking Louisiana College, 4-0, Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium in an
American Southwest Conference match.
Kirby Posey gave LeTourneau (7-10-1 overall, 5-7-1 ASC) a 1-0 advantage in the 28
th minute off an assist by Stefani Davis.
The YellowJackets led 1-0 at the half, but exploded for three scores in the second half.
Brooke Kincade scored on a penalty kick in the 53
rd minute and just five minutes later, Meredith Bowman added her first goal of the
season off an assist by Posey. The YellowJackets rounded out the scoring in the 75
th minute as Mary Lauren Bright scored her first collegiate goal.
Nicole Tammelin played 45 minutes in goal for LeTourneau and didn’t record a save. Briana
Redwine had one save in 45 minutes of action. Emily Breaux finished with 12 saves for Louisiana
College (1-18-1).
